Registered Nurse |Mining - Occupational Health and Safety

We are seeking RNs to cover casual opportunities for our Mining client in North West QLD. We have rosters available over December, and throughout 2024 - casual.

• Flat rate $80/hour

• 8day roster, 12 hour days, on-call overnight unless on lock down(Mon-Mon, Thurs-Thurs)

• Flights and accommodation organised by client from Townsville or Brisbane

As the on-site Registered Nurse, you will be a key player in maintaining and enhancing the health and well-being of the employees on the mine site. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting health assessments and screenings

• Managing injury and illness cases

• Implementing and overseeing health and safety programs

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote a safe working environment

• Providing education and training on health and safety protocols

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of safety practices

• Drug and alcohol testing

• Immunisations

Requirements:

• Unrestricted AHPRA

• Bachelor of Nursing

• Experience in Occupational Health and Safety

• Strong understanding of mine site operations and associated risks

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• CurrentAdvanced Life Support certifications

• Current police clearance

• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
