BRC are currently seeking a full time Mental Health Worker! The program provides support to clients with severe and persistent mental health issues in the community. Support Workers will have a caseload and provide comprehensive assessment, individualised goal plans, mental health support and purposeful transition planning within a psychosocial framework with a recovery focus.

Essential Criteria
* Qualifications in a related discipline (social sciences, health, psychology, social work, community services)
* Experience in providing support services to clients with complex needs particularly homelessness, mental health and psychiatric disability
* Experience in implementing risk management and duty of care protocols
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Criteria
* Knowledge of the mental health sectors and support services
* Demonstrated capacity to get along with others and be a team player
* Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication Understanding of the symptoms of mental illness and how to work effectively clients experiencing mental health
* Demonstrated capacity to support clients who have had traumatic life experiences
