In accident and emergency the Registered Nurse role is pivotal in the provision of safe, accurate and timely care of patients presenting to the emergency department. These roles require fast and clear thinking individuals, who are most commonly extroverted and definitely committed.
Responsibilities and Skills
Demonstrated competencies in and or knowledge of the complexities and challenges involved in caring for patients/clients within the emergency department
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and varied locations including rural & remote, district hospitals
Knowledge of and ability to work within a patient centred approach to nursing with a willingness to show leadership and embrace change in the coordination and delivery of care
Demonstrated commitment to professional development, evidence based practice and an understanding of recent contemporary changes in emergency nursing
Knowledge, understanding and commitment to the principles of Quality, Infection control, OH&S and EEO
Demonstrated competencies in and or knowledge of complexities and challenges involved in after-hours in charge role possibly in a rural facility
Minimum of 2 years acute nursing experience
Strong patient care focus
Ability to achieve high quality clinical outcomes
Further Mandatory requirements
National Police Clearance
Two clinical referees
Must have appropriate working rights in Australia (Unfortunately Visa Sponsorship cannot be supported)
